Predefined templates for simple connections, bulk-checking of similar joints, and visual modeling for complex ones.
Every Connection Checked. Every Report Ready.
IDEA StatiCa designs and code-checks steel connections, concrete details, and anchoring to AISC and ACI. Get approval-ready reports in three clicks, not three weeks.

Why change
Connection design should not eat your week
Hand calculations, spreadsheets, and re-modeling between tools turn every iteration into hours of unpaid risk.
The old way
- ×Connection design stretched over days of manual calculation and checking
- ×Retyping data and re-modeling the same joint after every design iteration
- ×Estimating behavior on complex nodes instead of proving it
- ×Connections with more than three bars in a node treated as impractical to analyze
With IDEA StatiCa
- ✓Cut connection design time by up to 80% on simple and complex joints alike
- ✓BIM links import, export, and synchronize data with your existing FEA and CAD models
- ✓Patented CBFEM method shows real behavior, including prying effects on bolt forces
- ✓Stress analysis of very complex connections, with full ULS and SLS checks in one report
Step by step
From analysis model to stamped report
Start fast and see the difference within weeks.
Import your model
Pull connection geometry and loads straight from your FEA or CAD tool via BIM links. No re-typing, no re-modeling.
Design and check
Start from a template or model visually. The CBFEM method combines component-based checks with finite element analysis for realistic behavior.
Report and move on
Generate a full code-checked report covering ULS and SLS to AISC, ACI, and other national standards, in three clicks.
What it does
From simple shear tabs to impossible nodes
One tool covers the full range of connection and detail work your projects demand.
Steel connection design
Predefined templates for simple connections, bulk-checking of similar joints, and visual modeling for complex ones.
Concrete details and D-regions
Design concrete walls and D-regions of any shape and load, including openings and dapped ends, and optimize reinforcement layout.
Anchoring design
Code-check anchoring as part of the same workflow, with ULS and SLS checks delivered in one report.
Connection Library
Over one million real-world joints to adapt and reuse, so you rarely start from a blank screen.
BIM links to 40+ tools
Import directly from RISA-3D, RAM Structural System, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla Structures, Revit, and more.
Approval-ready reports
Code-checked documentation to the latest AISC, ACI, and other national standards, generated in three clicks.

Answers
Licensing, answered
How does IDEA StatiCa licensing work?+
Licenses are online and account-based. We create a cloud license server for each customer, and you access the license from any device with your email credentials. Standard licenses allow up to 7 users per license product; enterprise licenses are unlimited.
Can I share the license with colleagues?+
Yes. All licenses consist of floating seats. You can switch devices, return the license to the pool, share it with colleagues, and work from the office, home, or on the road.
What is the difference between a subscription and a perpetual license?+
A perpetual license is a time-unlimited entitlement, but maintenance must be purchased on top and renewed annually for new versions and support. A subscription automatically includes maintenance, is easy to extend, and lets you add seats as your needs grow.
Is the license limited to one country?+
Standard licenses can only be used in the country specified at purchase, usually the billing address country. Multinational usage is available with the Enterprise license.
How often is the software updated?+
There are two major product releases plus minor updates per year, bringing additional features and benefits. Up-to-date maintenance gives you access to the current version and technical support from in-house specialists.
